First off, congrats to all who completed (survived?) Locktober, and good luck to those who will be parlaying into No Nut November!
Gripped in Titanium
I received the Titanium model of HZD's shaft-only "Grip" cage early this week, and I wore it for the first time yesterday. I already own several of HZD's cages in nylon, so I knew what to expect, for the most part. The two main differences between the versions that I noticed yesterday:
1.) The Titanium version of the Grip is currently listed as a "beta " product on HZD's website. The one shortcoming of the design I noticed is that my Burg Wachter ME/2 barrel lock would not fit in the lock cylinder. More accurately, I could shove the lock barrel most of the way into the cylinder, but could not get the key to turn in order to lock the device.
The cage shipped with a generic barrel lock/key combo, and while that lock was a tight fit into the chamber, I was able to get the cage locked using the generic barrel. I probably tried locking and unlocking the cage 100 times before actually trying it on to make sure I could unlock the cage reliably. Being locked permanently in a titanium cage is a hot idea as a fantasy, but I'd like to keep it as a fantasy lol.
Anyway, I told my wife about the issue and rounded up as many of the generic keys that were laying around our house as I could find. I gave all of those to her when I locked the Titanium Grip on yesterday. So while it was secure in that I didn't have access to a key that could unlock my cage, I don't like the idea of knowing that I could unlock the cage with a common key, which would be easy for me to obtain if I really wanted to.
2.) I was able to get a full erection while wearing the cage with zero discomfort. I can get a near-full erection in the nylon version of the Grip, but the glans ring in that cage squeezes behind the head when it happens to the point of causing discomfort. So generally, when I start to get an erection in the nylon cage, I am trying to get rid of it as quickly as possible because it doesn't feel good. I've viewed that as a feature, not a bug by the way.
My glans ring for the titanium cage is sized the same, but the material and shape seem slightly different. In fact, I'm not sure I was able to even feel the glans ring, which is a pretty night and day difference compared to my older cage. It was kind of a mindfuck to have a full erection but no ability to do anything about it thanks to the cage.
I will follow-up with a more complete review once I have worn the cage a few more times, but it made a positive first impression overall.
