Community posts are tagged by product and brand using a curated tag dictionary. Each tagged post chunk is classified as positive, neutral, or negative using pre-computed sentiment values stored in the database.

A brand's raw sentiment score is calculated as (positive chunks − negative chunks) / total unique chunks, yielding a value from −1 (all negative) to +1 (all positive).

Scores are then adjusted with a logarithmic volume boost — brands backed by more community data score slightly higher when sentiment is equal — and converted to a 0–100 scale using a percentile power curve (exponent 0.7, clamped between 10 and 95). A minimum of 15 tag matches is required before a score is published.
